Our Story.

About the Bride.

Sarah was born in Waco, Texas and grew up in Friendswood, Texas.  She is an Oil and Gas Attorney in Houston.  Sarah enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, shopping, cooking and decorating her new house.  She is an avid Texans fan and loves her SMU Mustang football team.

About the Groom.

Trey was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas.  He is a Sales Representative at Silver Eagle Distributors in Cypress, Texas.  Trey enjoys watching sports, playing golf, fishing, collecting sports memorabilia, playing Play Station, hanging out with friends and decorating his new yard.  On the weekends you can find him on the golf course, in the Bay or relaxing on the couch.

Together, they share a strong bond with their loyal Labrador, Tyson, and just bought their first house in Cypress, Texas.

How they met.

Sarah was invited by one of her bridesmaids to a crawfish party that Trey and a couple of his groomsmen were hosting at their house in Pasadena, Texas.  Sarah was a little hesitant to go at first because it was a bit of a drive from where she lived (Houston) and she wouldn’t know anyone at the party.  So her friend wouldn’t have to make the journey alone, Sarah reluctantly agreed to tag along.  Shortly after being there, Trey poured Sarah her first beer and briefly introduced himself.  Little did they both know…they had met their future spouses.  As the day went on, they talked more and more and by the end of the night, Trey stole Sarah’s phone and called himself so that he would have her number in his phone.  The same day, Sarah met seven out of nine groomsmen that would stand beside Trey on their wedding day.

Since that day, Sarah moved to Pasadena, became the first and only hostess of that annual crawfish party and has met several new close friends.  As Trey would say, “she didn’t want to come and now she hasn’t left.”  He also says he wouldn’t have it any other way.  The above picture is the crawfish party one year after they met.

The proposal.

It was rodeo cook-off weekend and Sarah and Trey had family and friends coming in town.  Friday night, with company already in town, Trey claimed he would be late getting off work and told the group to go on and eat without him.  A bit perplexed because it wasn’t like Trey to not join in on the fun, Sarah obliged and took everyone to Kemah for a nice meal.  They made it back home to find Trey showered, dressed up and waiting to go out and do something.  Everyone in the room {except Sarah} knew what would happen next.  Trey handed Sarah a day planner and said “I got you this.”  Looking at him puzzled because of the randomness, Sarah said, “OK, thanks, why are you giving this to me now?”  Feeling the bulk, Sarah opened the book.  Inside the book, Trey had written several special dates and on the date of the proposal {February 25, 2011} it said “So you’ll never forget this important day and question.”  The ring was taped inside the book and then Trey got down on his knee, in front of family and friends, and asked Sarah to marry him.  Sarah was totally caught off guard and had no clue as she assumed Trey would be more predictable when this day came.  They went out and celebrated with a lot more of their friends!

Also worth mentioning, the day before he proposed, Trey took the day off work, drove all the way to Waco with the ring and took Sarah's dad to lunch to ask his permission.

It was perfect :)
