Blue Hole.


The blue hole is one of the top watering holes in Texas.  In the heart of Central Texas, Blue Hole has long been a destination in the Texas Hill Country for swimming, camping, and enjoying nature along springfed Cypress Creek.  For more information, visit their website Friends of Blue Hole.

Driftwood Vineyards.


Drive just outside of Wimberley to visit Driftwood Vineyards.  Come by for wine tasting or beautiful view under shady oak trees over lunch.  The tasting room is open from 10:00-6:00.  For more information, please visit the Driftwood Estate Winery website.

Cypress Falls Swimming Hole.


Eagle Rock, found at cypress falls is a beautiful swimming hole located in Wimberley.  Although it may be too cold to swim in March, it is still a great place to see and explore.  If you work up an appetite while enjoying Cypress Falls, simply walk over to the Cypress Falls Cafe, overlooking the water. You can choose to dine in the shade or to walk up to the top deck where you can get a wonderful view of the Cypress lined Woodcreek Bridge that is featured on several Wimberley post cards.

Golf.


Visit Quicksand at Woodcreek golf course just 3 miles north of Wimberley.  Quicksand at Woodcreek is a semi-private 18-hole golf course surrounded by the charm of the Texas Hill Country.  Winding its way through the City of Woodcreek, Quicksand is a challenging, 72 par course with a quality pro shop and all the amenities.  Casual dining and bar service is available in the "Above Par Grill" in Quicksand's clubhouse. Golf course is open for golfers vacationing in the Wimberley Valley.

Wimberley Zip Line.


Wimberley has an 8 zip line tour to offer in the heart of Wimberley.  The lasts about 1.5- 2 hours and costs $69 per person.  You must make reservations in advance, so if you are interested please check out the Wimberley Zipline Adventures website.  Sarah’s sister has done this before and says it is awesome.

Horseback Riding.

Hunters Chase Farms offers hour long trail riding on their beautiful property as well as lessons.  Trail riding is $45-$55.  Lessons are $50-$65.  For more information, please visit their website Hunters Chase Farms.

Glass Blowing.


Come watch artisans make one of a kind glass sculptures.  The glassblowers are currently working Wednesday thru Saturday from approximately 10:30 to 12:30 and 1:30 to 4:30.  There is no cost to come watch.  If you would like to schedule a demonstration for a group, they do set appointments so you can enjoy watching a piece made from start to finish.  There is a $2 fee per person for set times.  Visit their website Wimberley Glassworks for more information.

Bella Vista Ranch.


Designed to reflect a traditional Italian family farm, the ranch is home to over 1,000 producing olive trees, seasonal fruit and vegetables, a frantoio (olive press), a winery, tasting room and gift shop.  You can taste the grassy, peppery and most importantly FRESH olive oil that they have been making since 2001.  The ranch is open Thursday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from noon until 4:00 p.m. and tours are available Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and Sunday at noon.  Visit their website Bella Vista Ranch for more information.
